Questions about Protect PDF
How secure is the protection?
AES-256 is the encryption of the PDF 2.0 standard: security depends mostly on the length of the password. Use at least 10 characters.
What if I forget the password?
There’s no way to recover it: keep an unprotected copy of the document.
Are the files uploaded online?
No. Processing happens in your browser, on your device: files aren’t sent to any server and are cleared from memory when you close the page.
Is it free? Do I need to sign up?
It’s free, with no sign-up and no watermarks on the results.
