They make the site work the way you expect. They don’t require consent because they aren’t used to profile you and aren’t shared with third parties.

No advertising or tracking
The site uses no advertising, profiling or analytics cookies and loads no third-party services that store data on your device. That’s why we don’t need to ask for your consent and you won’t see any banner.
The “Support us on Ko-fi” button leads to an external site: only if you open it may Ko-fi use its own cookies under its privacy policy.
