Why does my PDF barely get smaller?
If the document is mostly text it’s already light: compression works on the images. With maximum compression every page becomes an image, but the text will no longer be selectable.
Are the files uploaded online?
No. Processing happens in your browser, on your device: files aren’t sent to any server and are cleared from memory when you close the page.
Is it free? Do I need to sign up?
