How to convert JPG to PDF

  1. Add your JPG files

Drag one or more JPG files onto the dashed area, or tap it to pick them from your device.

  2. Choose PDF and the options

PDF is already selected: choose the page size and whether to merge all the images into one document.

  3. Convert and download

Press “Convert to PDF”. When it’s done, download the files one by one or all together in a ZIP archive.

Good to know. Photos taken upright with a phone are straightened automatically by reading their EXIF data, so the pages don’t come out rotated.

JPG

JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group)

The photo format par excellence. It compresses the image by discarding details the eye barely notices, so a 12-megapixel photo weighs only a few megabytes. Any device can open it, from an old phone to a photo lab’s printer.

Questions about JPG and PDF

Can I put several photos in one PDF?

Yes. Select all the photos together and keep the “Merge into one file” option on: each image becomes a page, in the order they appear in the list. You can reorder them with the arrows before converting.

Does the photo quality get worse?

No. The JPGs are placed in the PDF as they are, without recompressing them. The only exception is photos that need rotating: in that case the image is redrawn at maximum quality.

Are my JPG files uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion from JPG to PDF happens entirely in your browser, using your device’s computing power. Files aren’t sent or stored anywhere: when you close the page they’re gone from memory too.

How many files can I convert at once?

Up to 100 files at a time. There’s no fixed size limit: it depends on your device’s memory. On smartphones it’s best to work in smaller batches with heavy files such as videos.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, with up-to-date Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge and Samsung Internet. On phones, converted files end up in the Downloads folder or the Files app.

Do I need an internet connection?

Only to open the page (and, the first time, to download the components needed for that type of file). After that the conversion keeps working even if the connection drops.
